Alta girls top Aurelia by nine

Jordan Henningsen totaled 23 points, five rebounds and four assists as Alta beat Aurelia's girls 51-42 on the road Tuesday.

With the win, the Cyclones improved to 6-8 on the year and 5-5 in the Northwest Conference.

Haley Payne added four assists, while Jessy Bibler posted seven points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

The Cyclones led 16-9 after the first quarter, 28-19 at the break and 41-32 after three quarters.

Leah Kai paced Aurelia with 15 points, while Meghan Glawe, the area's leading rebounder, added to her total with 15.

Erin Laursen had eight rebounds of her own while Kai added five assists and two steals.

Audrey Winterhof added 10 points, two more than Glawe.
