The Buena Vista County Board of Health would like to announce the hiring of Pam Bogue, RNC as Nurse Administrator for Buena Vista County Public Health & Home Care.
Pam has great knowledge of public health and 31 years of nursing experience many of which were in management. "She will be a great asset to the team which is currently at Buena Vista County Public Health and Home Care," board members said in a statement this week.
Bogue looks forward to better serving the community, as she works with other health care providers in promoting and advocating for all the health needs of our county. She exemplifies the agency's motto: "Caring It's What We Do Best."
Ken Hach, Board of Supervisors member, said, "We are very pleased with the work she has done so far and looks forward to a bright future with her."
Buena Vista County Public Health & Home Care is located at 1709 E. Richland, in Storm Lake. They offer many services such as child immunizations clinics, adult immunizations, free blood pressure testing, tuberculosis testing and follow-up, communicable disease teaching and follow-up, tobacco prevention, & community education on health related topics. Skilled nurses provide physician ordered home care visits addressing a multitude of health needs. Home care aides provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, & hair care, ambulation assistance, rehabilitation and other physician ordered services. Homemaker services available include grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and laundry services. The Home Care services enable clients to stay in their own home environment. Our Family Steps program provides in home visits to guide & support pregnant women & children from birth to 5 years. In home therapies are provided as ordered by the physician.
