Alafa helps Alta to 4th

Marcus Alafa won a title for Alta at 119 pounds to help the Cyclones to fourth place out of 10 teams here in the Kingsley-Pierson Invitational Wrestling Tournament Saturday.

Four Cyclones worked their way to second-place finishes: Scott Robbins (130), Schuyler Radke (145), Matt Sefcik (215) and Jake Syndergaard (285).

Ryan Sawyer took third at 140.

Ernesto Dominguez (103), Josh Sager (112) and Nathan Robbins (135) all finished fourth.

Miah Haller (160) took fifth and Jordan Carlson (171) sixth.

Jefferson-Scranton-Paton-Churdan nipped Woodbury Central by just two points for the title.

The Cyclones host Graettinger-Terril and East Sac County this Thursday in a double dual, starting at 6 p.m.
