Kendra Mack on documentary photography
Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Science Center, room 126 , Kendra Mack will explore the art of documentary photography.
Mack is teaching a documentary photography class during J-term. During her ACES, she will do an artist's talk and show her work and talk about what she does. She also started the Midwest Documentary Project and will discuss what the MDP is.

Thursday, Jan. 17, from 7-8 p.m., a special concert will be held at Anderson Auditorium.
BVU students will spend three weeks learning how to write hit songs and gather information on how to make it in the music business. At the end of the session the students present a concert of their original music.
The Past, Present, and Future of Biofuels
Monday, Jan. 28, from 7- 8 p.m. at SC126
Michael Ott, Executive Director of BIOWA, will cover the pros and cons of corn based ethanol, current developments in technology and agriculture, and future projects that are coming to Iowa and beyond. He will talk about the economic, environmental and social impacts of biofuels and what Iowa needs to do in order to remain the leading producer of biofuels. The talk is intended for an educated general audience, and will have a Q and A session after the talk.
