Mangold, Buchholz exchange wedding vows

Alicia Dawn Mangold and Brett Anthony Buchholz were united in marriage on May 26, 2007 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Newell. A reception followed at the Alta Community Center.

The bride is the daughter of Brent and Rhonda Mangold, Storm Lake. The groom is the son of Tony and Melinda Buchholz, Newell.

The couple resides in St. Paul, Minn. Alicia is a fourth grade teacher in North St. Paul and Brett is a mechanical engineer at 3M.

Kjolhede, Mann united in marriage in Oct. 6 ceremony

On Oct. 6, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta, Nicole Kjolhede and Eric Mann of Omaha, Neb. were united in marriage. Officiating was Pastor Delwayne Hahn of Minnesota.

Parents of the bride are Jeff and Laurie Kjolhede, Ankeny and parents of the groom are Susan Mann, Alta, and Leslie and Kim Mann, Alta. Grandparents of the bride are Willis and Joyce Anderson of Alta, and Marian Kjolhede of Storm Lake. Grandparent of the groom is Arlene Morehead, Akron.

The bride was dressed in an Oleg Cassini satin ball gown with a pick-up skirt and beaded metallic embroidery on the bodice. She wore a rhinestone flower headband and a white 2-tier veil with a scalloped beaded edge and crystal drops. Nicole's clutch bouquet was white calla lilies.

Jenni Kjolhede, Blooming Prairie, Minn. and sister-in-law of the bride was the matron of honor. Summer Kjolhede, Ankeny and Kelly Kjolhede, Littleton, Colo., sisters-in-law of the bride, and Kristin Brown, Minneapolis, Minn., friend of the bride, were bridesmaids. Chloe Wood, Storm Lake and niece of the bride was the junior bridesmaid. The flower girl and honorary flower girl were Payton and Sophia Kjolhede, Ankeny, nieces of the bride.

Josh Mann, Ames and brother of the groom was the best man. Groomsmen were Tate Nelson, Wayne, Neb.; BJ Johnson, Mt. Pleasant and Mike Koth, Alta, all three friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Landon Kjolhede, Blooming Prairie and nephew of the bride. Ushers were Nicole's brothers, Aaron Kjolhede, Ankeny; Ryan Kjolhede, Littleton and Justin Kjolhede, Blooming Prairie.

Personal attendants were Heather Klein. Minneapolis, Minn., cousin of the bride, and Terri Zimmerman, Alta and Megan Brechwald, Waukee, friends of the bride.

Marian Kjolhede, Nicole's grandmother, was the lector. Pianist/organist and soloist was Randy Erickson, Alta. Kristin Brown was also a soloist along with Nicole's uncles, Bill Anderson, Tom Anderson, Paul Anderson, and Luther Kjolhede.

Attending the guest book was Candi Lichtenberg, Nicole's aunt. Gift attendants were Angelina Anderson, cousin of the bride, and Lexi Schlafer, step-sister of the groom. Judy Sherwood, aunt of the bride, and Shirley Alexander, Joyce Mosbach and Mary Lee Wise, aunts of the groom, were the cake cutters and punch/coffee servers. The wine servers were Ron Anderson, uncle of the bride, and Michele Nelson, friend of the couple.

A bouquet of white roses was on the alter in loving memory of the couple's grandparents, the late Arnold Kjolhede, Lowell Morehead, Vivan and Jane Mann.

The reception and dance were held at the Alta Community Center. Hosts and Hostesses were Donna and Paul Koth and Susan and Kim Piercy of Alta, all friends of the couple.

The couple currently resides in Omaha, Neb. and will be taking a honeymoon to Montego Bay, Jamaica in March.
