Boone, Carroll sink SL swimmers

Storm Lake's boys swim team was back in action Friday, losing a pair of duals to Boone and Carroll.

The Tornaodes lost to Boone 75-19 and to Carroll 72-22.

"Even though the scores were a little lopsided, we had a lot of much-improved performances," said Tornadoes coach Roger Peterson, whose team returns to action Jan. 5 at Des Moines Hoover.

The Tornado 200 medley relay squad - comprised of Casey Schultz, David Brady, Peter Winterton and Nate Tucker - got second place in 2:06.34.

Storm Lake had four other second-place efforts: Winterton in the 50-yard freestyle (25.92), Schultz in the 100 butterfly (1:10.33), Brady in the 500 freestyle (6:53.84), and the 400 freestyle relay team (Winterton, Brady, Schultz, Tucker, 4:05.38).
