The Alta JV boys basketball team earned a split in two games here recently, losing the first game to Clay Central-Everly 59-57 in overtime before beating Okoboji 54-41.
The first game saw the Cyclones fall behind 34-18 before rallying to force overtime at 52-52.
Jeremy Lambert topped the scoring column with 17, followed by Josiah DeRoos with 14, Austin Stille with 11, Jon Lietz with six, Robert Maharry with five and Jared Buckendahl with four.
Stille led in rebounding with nine, while DeRoos added seven.
Maharry notched three steals, with Lietz and Lambert both adding four assists.
"This was a tough game to lose as we had lots of chances to win," Cyclones coach Dean Lietz said.
In the second game, Maharry had 17 points, while Stille and Ryan Friedrich each added 10 as Alta improved to 2-2.
