Alta's girls basketball team fell to 0-3 on the year after a 46-36 loss to Sioux Central Tuesday.
The Rebels led 14-10 after one period before the Cyclones rallied to tie the game 18-18 at halftime.
The Rebels broke open the game with a 10-4 third-quarter advantage, then increased the final margin to 10 in the final frame.
Jordan Henningsen led the Cyclones with 22 points on 7-for-19 shooting. All told, Alta shot just 11 of 45.
Jessy Bibler added eight points, while Sam Hamer, Emily Grieme and Courtney VanHaaften all scored two.
Henningsen knocked in 4 of 9 3-point tries and grabbed seven rebounds while Bibler pulled down a team-best eight boards.
Bibler also led the team in assists with five.
VanHaaften added five rebounds, while Anne Curbow and Hamer had four, and Grieme and Cassie Stewart both had two.
For Sioux Central, Brooke Scharn poured in a team-best 19 points. She was 5-for-19 from the floor and 9-for-11 at the line.
Steph Thompson and Brianna Ehlers both added eight and Brittny Rebhuhn six.
Scharn had a double double with 14 rebounds. Other rebound leaders for the Rebels were Thompson (8) and Michele Ferguson (7).
Alta heads to Schaller-Crestland tomorrow while Sioux Central is at Aurelia.
