'Yoga for a Longer Life'

On Saturday, December 01, "Yoga for a Longer Life" will be presented at Buena Vista University in an event open to the public, free.

The health symposium will be held 10-11 a.m. in Forum Room 5, coinciding with AIDS Day.

Yoga is a very rejuvenating exercise for both the healthy and the ill.

Come experience yoga with instructor Kathryn McKinley. She will lead the audience in rejuvenating yoga examples; dress comfortably.

'Inconvenient Truth movie'

On Tuesday, December 04 at 6:30, the Oscar-winning film "An Inconvenient Truth" will be presented to the public in AndersonAuditorium at Buena Vista University, as part of the campys "Focus the Nation" environmental awareness effort. Admission is free.

Band concerts

The BVU Concert Band will present its annual Holiday concert on Saturday Dec. 8 at 7:30 PM in Schaller Memorial Chapel.

The featured work of the evening is Johan de Meij's "Symphony #1 The Lord of The Rings." The second half of the program will feature music of the holiday season including "Greensleeves: A Fantasia for Band" and a Christmas medley. Free.

Storm Lake High School Band, Orchestra and Choir presents the High School Holiday Concert Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the high school. The public is invited.
