Named for a historic watering hole in Minnesota, Marccoux Corner has become one of the midwest's favorite a cappella groups.
The foursome will perform free concerts for Clay County Fair visitors from Friday, Sept. 14 - Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Northwest Federal Tent Theater, at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day.
The singers combine over 20 years of voice study at one of the country's most prestigious colleges for vocal performance, Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
The harmony they produce is crisp and pure, yet full of so much energy that their crowds find themselves tapping their toes and grinning from ear to ear. Kevin, Brent, Josh and Dave make the audience part of the show, and enfuse the music with plenty of personality and humor - their credits include performing for the Walt Disney Corporation, singing the national anthem for the president, opening for the Beach Boys, three coast-to-coast tours and several CDs.
Expect a little of everything from these guys, and no two shows are likely to be the same. Their popular covers range from "Mustang Sally," "California Dreamin'" and "Footloose" to quirky bits like "Dolphin Boy" to their own penned tunes, like the sweet "In My Dreams."
