Annual Hanover Festival set for Aug. 26

Tradition calls for nationally-known Polka Bands to entertain at the Hanover Festival, and this year's bands will be better than ever.? Headlining the 11th Festival on Aug. 26 are two well-known bands with the usual top-tapping music for listening and dancing enjoyment.? Karl and the Country Dutchmen and Malek's Fishermen have performed at Hanover in the past and are looking forward to returning.? Music will be from noon to 7 p.m.? Bring your lawn chairs and plan to enjoy this time at the Hanover Village southwest of Alta at the Junction of M27 and C65.? Admission is $7.50.? Parking, shuttle buses, and food are available.

?Karl and the Country Dutchmen? Karl Hartwich and his band, based out of Wisconsin, is known nationally for their rollicking beat and infectious spirit.? Karl began his music career in his teen years and is a crowd please wherever he plays.

?Malek's Fishermen is based out of Garner.? Malek's Fishermen is one of the most well-known polka bands in the United States.? Their long-time tradition of great music has formed a solid fan base that follows them as they tour the country.
