Engelmann, McConn exchange wedding vows March 10

Brooke Engelmann and Chris McConn were united in marriage on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Summit Evangelical Free Church in Alta. Parents of the couple are Bruce and Jill Engelmann, Storm Lake and Tom and Beth McConn, Plymouth, Minn. Special guests included Mr. and Mrs. Romaine Kischer, grandparents of the bride and Daryl Thompson, grandfather of the groom.

Rev. Doug Corlew officiated the ceremony. Musicians included instrumentalists Ben Anderson, cousin of the bride and Barry Engelmann, brother of the bride. Vocalists included Bruce and Jill Engelmann, parents of the bride; Barry Engelmann and Brooke. The bride sang a special song to her groom that was written by Brooke and her brother, Barry.

Matrons of honor were Melinda Engelmann and Jill R. Engelmann, sisters-in-law of of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Coombes, sister of the groom; Katie McConn, sister-in-law of the groom; Crista Erickson, cousin of the bride; and Alyssa Rusk, friend of the bride.

Matthew McConn and Thomas M. McConn served as their brother's best men. Groomsmen were Bryant Engelmann and Barry Engelmann, brothers of the bride; and Craig Alcock and Brian McQuilkin, friend of the couple.

Ring bearer was Trey Engelmann, nephew of the bride and flower girl was Brielle Engelmann, niece of the bride.

Madeleine Coombes, niece of the groom and Gabe Coombs, nephew of the groom, served as candlelighters.

Personal attendants were Cara Parliament, Lindsey Alcock and Kacey McQuilkin, friends of the couple.

Ushers were Joel Hedtke, cousin of the groom; friends of the groom, Nate Boike, Eric Berger, Kenny Eide; and Nick Delaney, friend of the bride.

Mary Berger, friend of the couple, was the scripture reader.

Hosts and hostesses were Kim and Jill Kischer, aunt and uncle of the bride, and Mike and Linda McConn, aunt and uncle of the groom.

The wedding reception was held at the Western Iowa Technological Conference Center in Cherokee. Guests enjoyed a coffee bar, a video presentation produced by the bride's mother, wedding cake (also made by the bride's mother), dinner and a dance DJ'ed by the bride's brother, Barry.

The bride is a public health nurse for Otter Tail County and the groom is an environmental engineer for Interstate Engineering.

The couple currently resides in Fergus Falls , Minn.
