Cody Daniel Schubert

Cody Daniel Schubert, 21, Holstein, passed away suddenly on June 30, at East Lake Okoboji.
Service will be on Friday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Holstein, with Father David Hemann officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Holstein. Visitation will be on Thursday 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. at the Church. The Barker Funeral Home in Holstein, is in charge of the arrangements.
Cody was born January 8, 1986 in Storm Lake, to Kerry and Carla (Woltman) Schubert. He graduated from Galva Holstein Community Schools in 2004. He participated in school plays and golf. He then attended Minnesota West Community College for a year and a half, studying Auto Mechanics.
Cody loved being with his friends and family, and very much enjoyed playing and spending time with his younger cousins and other children. He also loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers, golfing, fishing, and hunting.
Cody worked at various jobs: Bomgaars, PMI of Iowa and Holstein Mfg.
Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Kerry and Carla; two sisters, Kayla and fiancé Craig Kelley, Omaha, Neb.; Kara and friend Adam Nielsen, Alta; His grandparents Lorriane Woltman, Laurens; Cookie and Charlie Schubert, Holstein; his aunts and uncles, Clair (Mike) Morong, Littleton, Colo.; Connie (Ray) Cooling, Marengo; Kyle Schubert, Oregon; Billie (Gailyn) Nehring, Storm Lake; Trudy (Craig) Schroeder, Alta; Betty Woltman, Alta; David (Denise) Woltman, Logan; Dale Woltman, Alta; Dean (Julie) Woltman, Manson; and many cousins that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa Billy Woltman; and his great grandparents; a special uncle Leon Ruhlow.
Please wear a Hawkeye Shirt and jeans. He will be so missed by family and friends.
Marcy Marie Siefken
Marcy Marie Siefken, 49, Alta, passed away on Sunday, May 13, in Clarion, at the home of her very special friends, Bret and Lyn Thompson, following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at the Barker Funeral Home, Alta. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1 p.m.- 2 p.m., with the family present. Barker Funeral Home of Alta is in charge of the arrangements.
