Nelson's Pre-Mix and Vet Supply opened in 1975 selling mainly feed but 27 years later, the store has changed to all things a farmer needs.
Dave, Merten, Rob Parcel and Steve Frank took over the store from original owners Henry and Arlene Nelson.
"When they left they decided to leave it in the hands of the employees and we've been running it the same as we always have," Frank said during a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
Nelson's celebrated the new ownership, Wednesday morning.
Frank and the other owners take pride in the service that they provide.
"We have pride ourselves on providing service, when a customer comes in they are dealing with an owner," Frank said. "People come in upset because they go to other places and no one is on hand to answer their questions or serve them. We know our product and we are able to answer their questions."
Frank added that with livestock, mainly hogs going commercial, there has been a high demand for cattle fencing as well.
"We changed what we have offered over the years," Frank said. "When we hear our customers asking for something because they can't find it then we will work to get it for them."
