YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

When Jessica Rench and Kylee Lange decided to make some money by offering passers-by the opportunity to play a carnival-like game and win a prize, Michael Demers and Parker Lange decided to take advantage of the opportunity to raise some money, too, and sell lemonade to the same customers. The game allowed Kylee to get rid of some of her unwanted stuffed animals that are still in perfect shape; the boys made the lemonade themselves. They had help making signs and placed them on poles near their home and of course the best way to bring in customers - their smiling faces running to the curb at each passing vehicle. All four had "businesses" before. The most frustrating part, they agreed, is "when people drive right past and just wave." They hadn't decided how they would use the money they made - but if it was a success, they would try again another day.
