According to head coach Monica Tucker, the Panthers are putting this tournament behind them.
The St. Mary's softball team lost to Woodbury Central 19-4 and to Whiting 12-1 Saturday in the Woodbury Central Tournament.
"Our defense really struggled today. We need to step up, continue to play hard and keep our heads up to be successful," Tucker said. "Communication is also key for us to be successful."
In the Woodbury Central game St. Mary's Robyn Bredvick was 3-for-3 at the plate, and Abby Richardson hit a two-run homer in the first inning.
Jennifer Dimig absorbed the pitching loss, with eight walks, 18 hits and two strikeouts.
In the Whiting contest Rylee Paterson was tagged with the loss. She walked three, struck out one and allowed nine hits.
The Panthers contributed to their own undoing with eight errors.
Richardson went 1-for-2 with a single and Becky Lenhart went 1-for-1 and drew a walk.
