Anthony Clark

April 12, 1990- April 11, 2007

Anthony Clark, 16, Schaller, died Wednesday, April 11, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Early. Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends called after 1 p.m. on Friday, April 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller, where the family was present from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. A Rosary was recited at 4 p.m. and a vigil service was held at 7:30 p.m., all at the church in Schaller. Anthony Derek Clark was born April 12, 1990 to Scott W. and Linda J. (Holle) Clark at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. He was baptized in the Catholic faith as an infant in St. Mary's Church in Guthrie Center and later confirmed his faith as a youth. He was currently a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Schaller. A junior at Schaller-Crestland High School, Tony had planned to continue his education at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, to study accounting.

Tony was very involved in school activities such as business competitions, and participated in several sports, including cross country, track and wrestling. He had a wide circle of friends with whom he enjoyed spending time, and especially the time he spent with his girlfriend, Ashton Waters. Some of his favorite activities included skiing, wakeboarding, hunting, fishing, "gameing" with friends Jeremy, Cody, Allen and Cory, bowling and 4-wheeling.

Family was important to Tony. He loved the "work weekends" at his grandparents' homes with all his aunts, uncles and cousins around him, as well as the Minnesota vacations with all the family. Tony was always up to go golfing with Dad and Grandma. He loved riding the horses with family at Grandpa Duane's. He was the kind of person who just liked "spreading the love" to his family and friends. His enthusiasm and happy personality will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Scott and Linda Clark, Schaller; two sisters, Amanda Sue Clark and Abigail Marie Clark, both, Schaller; paternal grandparents Daryl and Sue Terry, Park Rapids, Minnesota and Duane and Janet Clark, Guthrie Center; maternal grandparents, Bill and Charlotte Holle, Guthrie Center; uncles and aunts: Chris and Vicki Terry, Lohrville; Matt and Angie Clark, Glidden; Scott and Jenny Helle, Rockwell City; Chadd and Monica Clark, Park Rapids, Minn.; Cassie Clark, Guthrie Center; Don and Carolyn Schwartz, Bayard; Jim and Richelle Holle, Oskaloosa; Jeff and Janet Stange, Manson; Terry and Kim Betts, Coon Rapids, Iowa; Art Holle, Atlantic; numerous cousins, extended family and a host of friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Virgil McCrea; Clarence and Florence Clark, Chester and Elizabeth Moore, William and Anna Holle, Sr.; Raymond and Bernice Fank; his cousin, Jodi Grote; and his close friend, Cody Claussen.

Samuel Collier

Samuel Collier, 15, Schaller, died Wednesday, April 11, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

Funeral services for Sam will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the Schaller Gymnasium, with Reverend Marvin Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Schaller Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.

Samuel Lee Collier was born December 5, 1991 in Tucson, Arizona to Shannon Collier and Angela (Peterson) Claussen. He attended classes at Schaller-Crestland Community School. Sam was currently a freshman at Schaller-Crestland High School, where he enjoyed his participation in football and golf. He was a member of the Schaller-Crestland Quiz Bowl team. For relaxation, Sam liked to play video games and especially enjoyed playing X-Box 360. He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends.

Sam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Phil Collier; and one uncle, Shawn Collier.

Cody Claussen

Cody James Claussen was born November 17, 1989 in Storm Lake to Stuart and Tina (Rimmer) Claussen. He was raised in the Schaller community and attended school at Schaller-Crestland Community School.

Cody was a junior at Schaller-Crestland High School, where he enjoyed participating in wrestling, football and track, as well as spending time with his many friends. Cody liked the outdoors and enjoyed hunting for deer and turkey. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents: Donald Claussen, Claude "Lucky" and Thelma Rimmer; and his cousin, Christopher Rimmer.

Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy Mae Jacobson, 80, Storm Lake, died Thursday, April 12, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, at St. John Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
