Genealogy via Internet

There is a huge amount of information available on the Internet for those wanting to trace their family ancestors. Instructor Janice Danielson will be offering "Internet Genealogy" on Mondays, April 16, 23 and 30, from 6:30-8pm at the Storm Lake High School Room 60. Bring your family information and do some searching. Handouts will be available listing sites for various countries and areas. Class size is limited; a fee of $25 is due to CommUNITY Education at 419 Lake Avenue by Thursday, April 12.

Style show

A Women of Color Style Show will be held Wednesday, April 11, at Dows Conference Center, Buena Vista University, 7-9 p.m. Every year, the Women of Color organization invites men and women to model the latest trends in: Business Attire, Summer Attractions, Athletic Gear, and Formal Wear. The fashion show introduces new spring fashions from Wal-Mart, B & K Mercantile, Lehnus Campus Bookstore, Osweilers and Maurices. Open to the public, free of charge.

Bridal Show

The Storm Lake Bridal Showcase event will be held Sunday, April 22 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The event was rescheduled from February due to weather. Hours are 1-4 p.m. A continuous style show will be offered by Elaine's Bridal. Cost is $2 per person.

Yoga classes

There is no such thing as being too old or too stiff for yoga! Kathryn McKinley continues to lead these popular classes for practitioners at all levels on six Tuesdays beginning April 10th from 5:45-7 p.m. at the Storm Lake Middle School Music Room. A $30 registration fee is due to CommUNITY Education at 419 Lake Avenue by Monday, April 9th.
