Poetry Alive!

Wednesday, March 28, 7-8 p.m.

Location: Dows Conference Center

Poetry Alive is a nationally recognized performance poetry ensemble whose programs demonstrate the visual and auditory power or poetry. The group will use music, dance, and group participation to bring poetry alive for their audience.

Women's Studies Film Series: Water

Wednesday, March 28, 7 - 9 p.m.

Location: Science Center Room 126

Join us for this powerful film about a seven-year-old widow who finds herself shipped off by her family to a "widow's colony" in India where she must live out her life. This film was so controversial when it was made, that the film maker had to make it under cover. When the film was released there were death threats against her life. The film is beautiful and heart-breaking.

Voices of Praise & Zion Movement Chorale: Moving the Spirit through Song

Location: Schaller Memorial Chapel

Come and hear the beautiful voices of BVU's own Voices of Praise Gospel Choir and Zion Movement Chorale from Chicago, Illinois. The 75-plus member choir combines contemporary and southern gospel music to create a moving experience of praise and worship through song. Along with Mt. Zion, Zion Movement Chorale, which is an active assembly of saved individuals in which God dwells, who through music, are focused on setting up resistance to the adversary of this world. BVU's very own Voices of Praise Choir will open for the two choirs. Get ready to be moved by the spirit.
