Farmer's Trust and Savings makes donation to Northwest Iowa Aging

Dave Woodcock, Kathy Van Bruggen, and Debbie Sundall of Farmer's Trust and Savings Bank presented a check for $1,000 to Julie Johnson, Northwest Aging Association, as Double Platinum sponsors for the upcoming conference - Toolkit for Elder Rights - Prevention and Protection.

The one-day conference being held at the Clay County Regional Events Center on Thursday, April 12, 2007, will provide the opportunity to learn about a variety of issues of concern for keeping the older population safe and free from harm as well as educate the public about the potential that exists for exploitation of the elderly. Nationally recognized speakers will share information on topics ranging from scams and fraud perpetrated against the elderly to recognition of the various types of elder abuse that exist in northwest Iowa which includes financial abuse, self neglect, deprivation of critical care, and physical abuse. Strategies to prevent abuse from occurring will be presented.
