Lorraine G. Frye, 74, Sioux Rapids, died Monday, Jan. 29, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center at Storm Lake.
Visitation for Mrs. Frye was held on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. at the First United Church of Sioux Rapids, where the family will be present. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at a later date. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids is assisting the family with the arrangements. Lorraine Gerda Gustafson was born on Oct. 25, 1932, at Lowell, Mass., to Lester W. and Hazel M. (Annis) Gustafson. Lorraine lived her youth and received her education at South Portland, Maine, where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at the Westbrook Junior College.
On December 18, 1954, Lorraine was united in marriage to Kenneth Alan Frye at South Portland, Maine, and they were blessed with two sons: Kevin and Brian. In the early years of their marriage, Lorraine was employed as a secretary. Ken and Lorraine lived in Mass., Maine, and N. H. during their life together. Ken was employed in the insurance industry while Lorraine was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother to her husband and children. She later worked as a sales clerk in a gift shop in N. H. In March of 1997, Ken and Lorraine came to make their home in Sioux Rapids. Lorraine became a resident of the Sioux Care Center in the fall of 2006. They were active in the Dinner Date program and Jolly Elders. While residing in Sioux Rapids, they have been affiliated with the First United Church of Sioux Rapids. Special interest of Lorraine's included playing cards, puzzles, reading, and watching television.
Those who cherish her memory include her husband, Ken, Sioux Rapids; her two sons: Kevin A. Frye, Buxton, Maine; Brian P. Frye, Linn Grove; four grandchildren: Natalie, David, Kenneth, and Michael; one sister, Laverne Doess of Bow, N. H.; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Gustafson.

Larry Glenn Siebrecht, 62 died on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., after battling complications of liver disease.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Barker Funeral Home, Alta, with Pastor Terry W. Pollard officiating and Flag Presentation and Taps by the VFW post #6172, Alta. Burial will be at a later date at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Alta. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday with the family present.
Barker Funeral Home, Alta is in charge of the arrangements. Larry Glenn Siebrecht, the son of Glenn and Marie (Hummel) Siebrecht, was born on June 17, 1944, in Odebolt. He received his education in Odebolt and Storm Lake. Larry joined the United States Army and spent time serving his country in Germany.
After retuning from the service, Larry worked in Sioux City at IBP as a maintenance worker.. He later joined his father in owning and operating a heavy equipment business. On March 1, 1974, Larry married Susan Gieske. Following their marriage, they lived in Alta. To this union was born a son, Ryan Larry. Larry also adopted Susan's sons, David Charles and Daniel William. Larry and Sue were later divorced.
Larry enjoyed fishing and spending his time with his mother and close friend, Marie. He also enjoyed getting to know his three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; one sister, Carolyn; and one brother, Tom.
Larry is survived by one son, Ryan Siebrecht and his wife Julie, Sioux Rapids; along with their three sons, Cole, Caleb, and Cody; his two adopted sons, David Siebrecht and his wife Jodi, Urbandale; and their two daughters, Sara and Keri, and Dan Siebrecht, Omaha, Neb. and his daughter, Kylie; his mother, Marie Siebrecht, Alta; one brother, Doug Siebrecht, Alta; one sister, Bonnie Lubberstedt of Kerrville, Texas; and one sister-in-law, Cheri Siebrecht, Rembrandt; and many other relatives and friends.
Daniel Ray Hansen
Funeral services for Daniel Ray Hansen, 49, Aurelia, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Harold Werley officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. Visitation was Friday from 2 p.m.- 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m., at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
Daniel died Tuesday, Jan. 30, at his home in Aurelia.
Daniel Ray Hansen was born Oct. 5, 1957, the son of Martin and Donna (Waugh) Hansen in Sioux City. He attended school in Correctionville. On Aug. 7, Daniel married Michelle Crew in Cherokee. Daniel worked as a carpenter for Smith Construction of Royal. He enjoyed his children, building houses, and camping and fishing.
Preceding Daniel in death was his father, Martin Hansen on July 4, 1978.
Survivors include his wife Michelle Hansen, Aurelia, six children; Brandi Hansen and her special friend, Jerry Skjerven and daughter Tristin, Plumber, Minn; Bridget Hansen Sund and her special friend Nick Ludwig and daughter Madyson, Cherokee, and Tyler, Kyle, Ryan, and Danae Hansen all, Aurelia. Also surviving are his mother, Donna Hansen and special friend Charlie Paul, Tonopah, Nev.; siblings: Sally and husband Steve Schwartz, New Mexico, Jack and wife Peggy Hansen, Decorah; Donny and wife Karen Hansen, Anthon; Marcia and husband Dick Tomlinson, Fort Dodge, Wendy and husband Aaron King, Aurora, Colo., nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
