The Cherokee Symphony proudly presents it's 2007 Mid Winter Concert on Sunday Feb. 11. The concert will be held at 4 p.m. at the Cherokee Community Center.
Maestro Lee Thorson, Storm Lake, will be conducting.
Guest performer for the Mid Winter concert will be Bassoonist Adam Trussell. Originally from Portland, Maine, he is now playing with the Omaha Symphony. Adam has played with many orchestras including Boston Chamber Orchestra and the Boston Philharmonic
The program will include Les Patineurs Waltz (The Skaters), Emile Waldteufel, Arr. S.K. Wright, Adagio from Spartacus, Aram Khachaturian, Arr. David Stone, Suite in A major and Antonin Dvorak Op. 98b ( I. Andante con moto, II. Allegro, III. Moderato (Alla Pollacca), IV. Andante, V. Allegro).
The second half of the program will include Bassoon Concerto in B flat major, K 191 and Wolfgange Amadeus Mozert (I. Allegro, II Andante ma Adagio III. Tempo di menuetto).
Admission at the door is $7 per person. High school age or younger are admitted free. Seating is limited; the doors will close promptly when the concert starts.
