Odebolt-Arthur used its passing game here Friday night to deal the Schaller-Crestland football team a 14-0 loss.
A disappointed Wildcat coach Dale Tokheim said his team, especially on offense had a subpar night.
The game was within reach for Schaller-Crestland until just minutes remained in the final quarter. The Trojans scored on a 60-yard pass play in the first quarter, but missed the extra point for a 6-0 lead.
That slim cushion remained on the scoreboard until the fourth quarter, when O-A scored a safety and a touchdown for eight points in the fourth frame.
The Warriors' ability to pass and S-C's inability to mount a passing game was the difference.
"They moved the ball a lot through the air," Tokheim said.
The Wildcats completed just 3 of 13 passes and two interceptions for 22 yards S-C's defense held O-A to just 55 yards rushing on 40 attempts.
"Our defense held them several scoreless from the red zone numerous times," Tokheim said. Offensively, we just couldn't move the ball the way we wanted to."
