Coe College rolled up 527 yards of total offense while recording a 41-17 Iowa Conference football victory over Buena Vista University.
Neil Suckow scored three touchdowns to help the 14th ranked Kohawks remain undefeated.
Suckow caught six passes for 116 yards and one touchdown as Coe rallied from a 10-7 second quarter deficit. He also scored two touchdowns rushing as the Kohawks defeated the Beavers for the third straight season.
Randy Kaufmann was involved in both of Buena Vista's biggest plays of the game. After Coe took a 7-3 lead late in the first quarter, Kaufmann returned the ensuing kickoff 74 yards to the Kohawk 15 yard line. That set up a Cody Pierce 1-yard touchdown plunge.
In the last 11 minutes of the second quarter and the first five minutes of the third quarter combined, Coe outscored Buena Vista 28-0 to pull away.
On Buena Vista's second possession of the second half, Kaufmann hauled in a 60 yard touchdown strike from Chris Hawkins. The extra point trimmed the margin to 34-17.
Hawkins, who was sacked eight times, completed 17 passes for 214 yards. He was picked off twice.
Robert Demoulin threw for 368 yards for the Kohawks. He had a near-perfect day through the air as he completed 20 of 25 passes for three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Ashton Northern led Coe's rushing attack with 141 yards on only 19 carries.
Chris Rowedder rushed for 34 yards to lead Buena Vista. He also had a team-high four catches for 30 yards. Pierce once again led the Buena Vista defense with 11 tackles.
Adam Jordison was credited with five sacks for the Kohawks. Brad Hemesath registered a game-high 12 tackles.
Coe improved to 4-0 with the win, 2-0 in the conference. Buena Vista is now 0-3, 0-2 in the IIAC.
