SPIRIT LAKE - Tyler Lindquist set a new school record in winning the 110 meter high hurdles to help Sioux Central finish second in the Iowa Great Lakes Relays on Tuesday night.
Clay Central-Everly won the team title with 108 points. Sioux Central scored 85.
Lindquist was clocked in 15.81 seconds to win the event. Richie Thacker claimed the 3,200 meters in 10 minutes, 53.6 seconds and the 1,500 meters in 5:16.8.
Mike Ruhs won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 6 inches, while Chris Axdahl claimed the shot put in 43-5 1/2.
The 4x400 relay team of Ruhs, Jake Reiling, Jason Ferguson and Lindquist placed first in a time of 3:48.78.
Lindquist was second in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:00.05. Ruhs was third in 1:00.84, as was Josh Halverson in the high jump in 5-4.
