Thursday, April 19, 2001

On Monday, April 23, Faith, Hope and Charity, Inc., the Concordia Lutheran School and the City of Storm Lake will combine in a special celebration at 2 p.m. at the Concordia School building, 1723 West Milwaukee, in Storm Lake.

At this time, the students of Concordia School will plant a tree to celebrate Arbor Day, Earth Day and the receipt of two grants from the Iowa Trees Forever organization. The public is invited to attend.

Trees Forever has awarded two grants to Faith, Hope and Charity for the purpose of planting a wind break and natural snow fence on the north and east sides of their property where the school is located.

A $3,500 grant was given through the Trees Forever/Alliant Energy Branch-ing Out program, with the sponsorship of the City of Storm Lake. A second grant of $1,500 was given by the Trees Forever Branching Out/Generations program to Faith, Hope and Charity with the cooperation of the Concordia School.
