Senior Volunteer of the Year to be named at Prime Time June 8

CommUNITY Education is accepting nominations for its seventh annual "Senior Volunteer of the Year" award. This award is presented to a community volunteer over the age of 55 years who has shown outstanding commitment and dedication as a volunteer in the Storm Lake area.

To nominate someone deserving of this honor, please submit a letter of nomination to CommUNITY Education Office, 419 Lake Ave., by Monday, May 15.

Nominees should have a long standing record of contributions in any one or multiple areas of volunteerism. Letters must include the nominee's name and reasons why he/she should be considered for the award. Please note specific contributions.

The award will be presented during lunch at CommUNITY Ed's annual Prime Time event on Thursday, June 8 at the Storm Lake Middle School. Past honorees include Erv Grundmeier, Ellis Francis, John Dversten, Roy Clough, Ruth Thornton and Lorraine Peterson.
