Kindergarten round-up at N-F

Kindergarten Round-up is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, from 6:30-7:30 in the Newell cafeteria. If your child or you know of another child that will be 5 by Sept. 15 please give the school a call at 272-3324 to be sure of correct names and addresses.

Sarah Demers recognized by Phi Eta Sigma recognition

Sarah Demers of Rembrandt was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma freshman National Honor Society on April 2 at University of Northern Iowa. Phi Eta Sigma is the oldest and largest freshman honor society in the nation founded in 1923. Admittance is based on superior academic ability and performance. Sarah attended AC-T from K-11, graduating with the Sioux Central Class of 2005. Attending the ceremony were her parents, Frank and Cindy Demers, of Rembrandt and her site, Diane Demers, of Iowa City Iowa.

Becker receives Elks Scholarship

Philip Becker, a 2006 graduate of St. Mary's High School, has received a $500 Scholarship from the Elks National Foundation. He has said he would like to get into aviation. His parents are Steven and Therese Becker of Storm Lake.
