St. Mary's students 'sold' to help the Children's Miracle Network

Tuesday, March 28, 2006

The St. Mary's Leadership Organization conducted a worker sale in March to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network. Thirteen pairs of students agreed to be sold for three hours of work at $35 per pair. Four of the duos even agreed to be sold more than once, raising about $500 overall. Unlike last year, where a portion of the proceeds were also donated to the Tsunami Relief Fund, the entire $500 was donated to Children's Miracle Network this year. This is the 3rd year the Leadership group has held the worker sale to raise money for Children's Miracle Network.

This year's donation is even more meaningful because Children's Miracle Network provided much needed assistance to Jack Petty, son of former St. Mary's teacher Jenny Petty and her husband Mark and Madison Foell, daughter of Nick Foell, a graduate of St. Mary's, and his wife Kim. Brad Strader, BVRMC Foundation Director, thanked the students for their generosity in giving to this worthwhile fund, as well as their willingness to support the hospital and community with such dedication.
