Dinosaur Mania strikes at area museum; meet a duo of dino discovery

Monday, March 20, 2006

The Sanford Museum Association will present "DINOSAUR TALES" with Brian Buckmeier, along with Drs. Steven and Pat Maurer, Saturday, on March 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the museum in downtown Cherokee.

They adventurers discovered a never-before-known dinosaur in South Dakota fossils. Tentatively known as pachycehalosaurus after a Harry Potter character, or informally as "Bonehead," the beast dates to the Cretaceous period.

The public is invited to check out the new exhibit on fossils and dinosaurs, and hear from the three visitors. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. For more information, call 225-3922.
