College night will be Thursday at SLHS; parents, and students


Representatives from approximately 79 colleges, schools and branches of the military will be at the Storm Lake High School for the annual college night program on Thursday, March 16 from 6:30-8 p.m.

The following will be represented - four-year colleges, area community colleges, junior colleges, business schools, beauty schools, trade and technical schools, nursing schools, branches of the military and a special information session at 7 p.m. on financial aid.

College night is free and all area high school students and their parents are invited to attend.

Academics and Interest night at Sioux Central

The Sioux Central Academic and Interest Night will be held Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. Students in grade six through eight have been working on individual projects since December and will showcase their work in the gym and commons area. This event is free and open to the public.

AC-T preschool, kindergarten registration approaching

The Albert City-Truesdale Community School District invites all 2006-2007 kindergarten eligible children to a morning in the AC-T kindergarten room from 8:30-10:00 on Tuesday, March 28.

Registration for children who will attend preschool in the fall are encouraged to register from 3:30-4:30 in the preschool room on the same day.

All updated immunization records and each child's birth certificate are needed for registration for both kindergarten and preschool. Parents are encouraged to notify the school if unable to attend registration times.
