Two Storm Lake students are among 30 Buena Vista University students participating in the University's student teaching program this spring.

Carolyn Friesen, wife of Bryon Friesen, is student teaching in the seventh through 12th grade English under Sara Carlson and Erin Olson at Storm Lake St. Mary's, and in the eighth grade language arts under Mollie Laughlin at Cherokee Middle School; and Keri Shadlow, wife of Mark Shadlow, is student teaching in the ninth grade social studies under Steve Brown at Battle Creek-Ida Groove School, and in American and world history under Tony Napierala, Joleen Hunecke, and Larry Vanfossan at Cherokee High School.

Faculty supervisor for the BVU student teaching program is Dr. Ann Petersen, professor of education.

Friesen is a senior majoring in English at BVU; and Shadlow is majoring in history.
