Comedy show

Comedian Elliot Chang will perform Thursday at 7 p.m. in Anderson Auditorium, Harold Walter Siebens Forum.

This New York comic offers an original act with a whirlwind of energy as he shares his outrageous take on life. Chang slams stereotypes, tackles real issues that other comics fear, and promises to "incite a comedy riot with no apologies." The show is open to the public, free of charge.

A 'Radiant Rebel'

On Monday, March 6, at 3 p.m., a performance art show "Radiant Rebel," will be held at Anderson Auditorium.

Performer Mariam Reed recreates the struggle of Margaret Sanger for birth control rights. As Sanger lectured and toured throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia meeting Gandhi and heads of states, she changed world views on birth control, advocating not abortion but prevention. From the letters, writings, and diaries of Margaret Sanger. Open to the public, free of charge.

Freaklabel in concert March 10

The alternative rock band "Freaklabel" will be in concert Saturday, March 10, 6-11 p.m. in Dows Ballroom in the Siebens Forum. The band was a hit last summer at the first EDGEfest event.

Admission is $5, and the show is open to all ages. Opening act is Fury Never Fades, from Omaha. The show is sponsored by Rasmussen Ford and KBVU The Edge.

Band concert

The Buena Vista University band will present its "Winter Concert" on Sunday, March 12, starting at 3 p.m. in Schaller Chapel. A variety of musical styles are planned, and the event is open to the public, free of charge.
