Eddie chosen to lead AWAYSIS sales

A local marketing expert is first on board

Steve Olson, President and CEO of Leisure Hotels, on Monday announced the first employee chosen for the Storm Lake AWAYSIS Lodge and Water Park. Stacey Eddie of Storm Lake has been chosen to lead sales efforts for the development, starting April 1. As Director of Sales, Eddie will be responsible for managing and directing the sales efforts for the hotel to increase revenues and develop local and regional awareness.

"Stacey's extensive sales and marketing background combined with her involvement in the AWAYSIS project will allow her to kick-start the sales efforts for the Lodge." Olson said his firm was happy to find a local person with such marketing expertise.

Stacey's professional background includes five years with First Data Corporation in Omaha NE, in a variety of roles including project management and marketing/sales. She spent three years as web site senior project manager for what is now Corillian working as an Account Executive for Mills Financial Marketing for over three years. Stacey has a BA from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

"I'm excited to get started! As a Storm Lake native, I spent most of my youth enjoying the lake and city pool. I joined the AWAYSIS Bond Committee last year so I could be a part of the growth this town should expect. This community has shown an incredible amount of initiative and support in making this project a reality. My Role is to harness that energy and translated it into bottom line results," said Eddie.

Stacey's husband is Steve Eddie, baseball coach for Buena Vista University. They have two young sons, Mark and Jake.
