Alta boys JV team improves to 9-0

Alta's JV boys basketball opened the 2006 portion of its season with a 63-42 win here over Marcus recently.

Jordan Hinkeldey paced the 'Clones with 21 points and nine rebounds. Alex Peterson had a great game with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Tyler Sliefert followed with 11 points, two rebounds and three steals.

Alan Hinkeldey scored nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Jordan Letzring tallied five points while Austin Stille scored four and had two steals. Chris Schmitz added one point and had 3 assists plus a steal.

The win moves Alta's record to 8-0 on the season.

Alta's JV boys basketball team moved to 9-0 on the season with a 47-36 win at Storm Lake.

Jordan Hinkeldey led the way with 17 points, including 11-12 shooting from the charity stripe. He also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Alan Hinkeldey followed with seven points and five rebounds, with Austin Stille adding six points and four rebounds.

Tyler Sliefert and Alex Peterson each collected five points with Peterson topping the rebounding charts with nine.

Chris Schmitz scored four points and had two rebounds.

The Alta (JV) basketball team defeated Sioux Central 49-32 here last week.

Jordan Hinkeldey led the Alta JV in scoring with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Adam Holton and Alex Peterson followed with nine points each.

Peterson also pitched in with six steals while Holton had two.

Jordan Letzring scored seven points while Tyler Sliefert added six points and two rebounds. Austin Stille, seeing his first JV action of the season, scored four points and had 1 assist.

Chris Schmitz scored one point and notched two rebounds and two assists.

Alan Hinkeldey had 5 rebounds and 2 steals. The Alta JV also beat Fort Dodge recently, 54-20.

Jordan Hinkeldey led in scoring with 15 points and added eight rebounds.

Adam Holton registered 12 points and had 1 assist. Alan Hinkeldey notched nine points with three rebounds.

Stille and Alex Peterson each 7 points.

Tyler Sliefert and Jordan Letzring each scored two points to round out the scoring.

Chris Schmitz had four rebounds and totaled two assists. The Cyclones now head home for a matchup with South O'Brien.
