"Martin Luther King Jr.'s Dreams" will be held in Anderson Auditorium at Buena Vista University, Tuesday, January 17, 6-7:30 p.m.
The ACES cultural series event will feature students in the Dream the Dream interim course at BVU, sharing vignettes from the civil rights movement.
Then campus multicultural liaison Leon Williams gives one possible answer to "What would Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. have to say today?" in his dramatic presentation of "Shattered Dreams." He assumes the persona of Dr. King and challenges the audience to accept the moral and social responsibility of civil rights and human dignity. Leon highlights the inconsistencies of social reform, while expressing the true meaning of justice and the pursuit of happiness in an inspirational monologue.
