ICCC offers computer and internet courses for seniors

There will be two computer short courses offered at Iowa Central Community College Storm Lake Center beginning Monday, April 2.

Learn Internet Basics will be held for two consecutive Monday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning April 2. Course topics include search engines, downloading, e-mail, terminology and working with Microsoft Explorer. The cost of this course is $45.00.

The second class is for senior citizens where they can learn at a comfortable pace the basics of home computing. This course is also slated to begin on Monday, April 2, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for three consecutive Monday evenings.

Participants will become familiar with basic operations and care of a computer. The hands-on class will cover beginning word processing and data base skills. Participants will create several documents and mailing labels. The cost is $48.00.
