Photography by Christine Dirkschneider, a Buena Vista University senior communication and graphic design major, is featured in "Shutterbug" magazine's April edition.
A full-page review of Dirkschneider's images entitled "Expressions" features four black-and-white portraits of BVU students and their friends. The article contains Dirkschneider's commentary on her education, goals and influences.
"Shutterbug" is one of the nation's most widely read photo-enthusiast publications. Dirkschneider studied photography with Dr. Bruce Ellingson and Michael Cerizo during her four years at BVU.
"To have a number of my images published in a national magazine, along with an interview by the chief editor is the most flattering and motivating thing that could happen to a person. It makes photographing images even more gratifying," said Dirkschneider. "I also want to thank Bruce Ellingson for nominating me for this wonderful opportunity."
Dirkschneider is currently participating in an internship in Lincoln, Neb. She will graduate from BVU in May 2001.
