The ninth annual meeting of the Hanover Historical Society will be held at the Lutheran School at Hanover on Sunday, Jan. 8, beginning at 2 p.m.
Vernon and Suzanne Winterhof will speak on the history of the blacksmith property at Hanover. The society has recentlay purchased this property, and the Winterhofs have been researching the history of the property. Their presentation is titled, "ABSTRACT ART-I-FACTS - History of the Blacksmith Shop Property." They have uncovered many interesting facts and invite you to hear their presentation. If possible, some buildings on this property may be open for viewing after the meeting.
Other business at the annual meeting will include election of directors, reports of society activity, and membership renewal. The year of 2006 promises to be another exciting year with many challenges. Plan to attend the meeting on Jan. 8 and be a part of this exciting project with the Hanover Historial Society.
