"We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude."
This quote received from Dr. T. E. Shea, retired medical doctor from Storm Lake and his daughters, expresses why they made the decision to join the Circle of Life.
The Sheas have become a part of the Circle of Life legacy circle for Buena Vista Regional Medical Center by including the Buena Vista Regional Healthcare Foundation in their financial plans to support the quality healthcare BVRMC provides well into the future.
Dr. Shea has been a vital part of the medical community for many years, with the late Mrs. Alice Shea also having tirelessly served with the hospital Auxiliary as the Treasurer for the coffee and gift shops until shortly before her death. The Shea daughters are carrying on the healthcare legacy of their parents with Pat (Shea) McPherson working as a Health Administration Manager, and Susan (Shea) Stewart and Ann (Shea) Stahl serving in the nursing profession.
In the words of Pat, Susan and Ann they state, "We want to compliment BVRMC for the quality, excellent care provided to patients and families at all levels. BVRMC tops all hospitals in its care, and with all of us having careers in healthcare, we know what excellent care looks like! We would like to help BVRMC to continue to serve other families with such competent care and the peace of mind it provides."
The Foundation this week expressed its gratitude for the generosity and kind words of the Shea family.
