*An accident happened in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 1280 North Lake Avenue, Storm Lake, shortly after 2:15 p.m. on Feb. 25. A 1999 Ford, owned by Amanda Butler, Alta, was parked in the lot when an unknown vehicle struck the Butler car and left the scene. Damage was estimated at $800 to the Butler vehicle.
*Shortly after 5:15 p.m. on March 7, an accident happened at the intersection of East 10th Street and Seneca Street. A 1993 Ford, driven by Chrissie Hartman, 16, Storm Lake, was southbound on Seneca Street. A 1986 Ford, driven by Malenda McClurg, 17, Fonda, was eastbound on East 10th Street and had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. The McClurg vehicle failed to yield to the Hartman vehicle and the vehicles collided. McClurg was charged with Failure to Obey Stop Sign. Damages were estimated at $250 to the Hartman vehicle and $700 to the McClurg vehicle.
*An accident occurred in the IPB parking lot on Flindt Drive shortly before 5:15 p.m. last Wednesday. A 1999 Chevy, owned by Maria Burciaga, Storm Lake, was parked in the lot when an unknown vehicle struck the Burciaga vehicle and left the scene. Damage was estimated at $250 to the Burciaga vehicle.
*An accident happened at the intersection of East 4th Street and Hudson Street shortly after 1 p.m. last Friday. A 1996 Pontiac, driven by Daniel Dickerson, 43, Nemaha, was northbound on Hudson Street. A 1993 Buick, driven by Cynthia Peiffer, 51, Fonda, was westbound on East 4th Street. The Dickerson vehicle failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign and the vehicles collided. Due to the collision, the Peiffer vehicle struck a fire hydrant. Dickerson was charged with failure to yield right of way. Damages were estimated at $2,500 to the Dickerson vehicle and $3,500 to the Peiffer vehicle.
*A hit and run accident was reported at an unknown location shortly after 11 a.m. Monday. A 1998 Chevy, owned by Nation Banc Leasing Corp, Spirit Lake, was hit by an unknown vehicle which left the scene. Damage to the Nation Banc Leasing Corp was estimated at $600.
*Lois Holmberg, Laurens, reported the gas door of her vehicle scratched while parked at 525 Geisinger Road on March 15. Damage was estimated at $25.
*On March 17, McDonalds in Storm Lake reported graffiti to the men's bathroom. Damage was estimated at $10.
