A mere 14 Big Raffle tickets remain for sale before the March 24 St. Mary's Ball and Charity Auction - "Passage to the Far East."
Once these 14 tickets are gone, all 400 chances for the cash gifts will be sold.
Each $100 contribution gives the donor a chance to win a $10,000 gift, a $2,500 gift, a $1,000 gift or one of two $500 gifts. The Big Raffle winners will be drawn following the live auction at the St. Mary's Ball and Charity Auction.
Chairs for the 2001 St. Mary's Ball and Charity Auction are Dr. Troy and Grace Ivey. Chairs are Dave and Mary Drey, auction chairs are Carrie Brown and Lori Hermstad and ticket sales chair is Deb Myers.
Some tickets also remain for just the ball and auction event. For a $35 per person contribution, attendees will enjoy dinner, dancing, record numbers of Paxton's Chest of Chance gifts and live and silent auction items.
Beer and wine cocktails will be provided, courtesy of Commercial Trust and Savings Bank. Attendees will also enjoy hot appetizers such as cream cheese wontons, potstickers and egg rolls during the cocktail hour.
Starting at 6 p.m. attendees may begin bidding on the more than 100 silent auction items displayed throughout the ballroom. Paper ballots will be placed in front of each item.
Auctioneers Amy and Annie Smith, who are twin sisters, will provide cocktail hour musical entertainment.
