Benefit set for SL child facing

Monday, October 17, 2005

Twelve-year old Alex Hermstad was a healthy girl just six months ago. Doctors have told the family that she has developed a neuromuscular condition. Alex is losing control of her muscles and at the present time, the doctors have not been able to find a cure or a treatment to help. Her family is not giving up hope and is still searching for a cure. At this point, options for treatment require extensive travel and are very expensive.

"Angels for Alex" are hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction to help find a cure and assist with medical expenses.

A Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on Sunday, October 23rd from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Buena Vista University Forum. A free will donation will be accepted.

Send donations to: "Angles for Alex" c/o MetaBank, PO Box 1307, Storm Lake, IA 50588. Or drop donations off at: MetaBank or Central Bank in Storm Lake.
