Band, Choir and Madrigal concert

Two Storm Lake students will perform with the Buena Vista University Band, Choir, and Madrigal Singers for a Homecoming Concert Sunday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. in Schaller Memorial Chapel on the BVU campus. The concert is open to the public, free of charge.

Lindsay Hoeppner is the daughter of Douglas and Kay Hoeppner; and Tyler Kirkholm is the son of Mark and Nelda Kirkholm.

The Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers will perform an American program of choral literature including a new spiritual arrangement of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot." The choir will also perform pieces from the American Heritage Lecture Seriesand Paul Simon's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters." The Concert Band will perform such pieces as "Academic Inaugural" written by the former BV Director of Bands, W.B. Green. Green wrote this march for the installation of John A. Fisher as President of BV 1956.
