Funeral services for Marjorie A. Heppner were held Friday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lake City, Minn. with Rev. Donald Jones officiating. Interment was at Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City, Minnesota.
Marjorie Ann Heppner, age 89, of Lake City, died Monday, April 25, at the Lake City Nursing Home.
Marjorie was born January 25, 1916 in Madelia, Minn. to Milton and Ethel (Keyser) Kelsey. She graduated from Medelia High School and attended Mankato State Teachers College. She graduated from Winona State with her teaching degree. She married Dick Heppner August 10, 1940 in Owatonna, Minn. They lived in the Lake City and Zumbro Falls area since 1961. She taught school primarily in the Lake City School District for 43 years. Dick died February 12, 1985. She was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church, Priscilla Circle at the Church and the American Red Cross. She was an avid reader and loved bird watching.
She is survived by two daughters Patricia (Jerry) Boysen of Long Beach Island, N.J., Deborah (David) Priebe of Rochester, MN; five sons Dr. Richard (Carol) of Pittsburgh, Penn., Douglas (Sharon) of Storm Lake, Dr. Bradley (Debra) of Pittsburgh, Penn., Gregory (Cheryl) of Rochester, Minn., Robert (Cindy) of Apple Valley, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen McCormack of Highland, Ind., Ruth Miller of Richland, Wa.
She was preceded by her husband and two brothers Mark and Dale.
