OKOBOJI - Ali Brashears shot a 95 here last Friday, leading the Storm Lake girls golf team to a fourth place finish in the Lakes Conference meet.
Cherokee won the Lakes team title with a 383, followed by Spencer (384), Emmetsburg (390) and the Tornadoes (394). Sheldon was a close fifth with 402 while ELC was sixth with a 409.
"We played very well considering the conditions," said SLHS girls golf coach Steve Berry. "We are pleased with just being 11 strokes out of first place."
Brashears carded a 50 on the front nine and a 45 on the back, gaining All-Lakes Conference honors with her 95.
Also for Storm Lake, Amy Berg shot a 52-46 - 98, Jenny Jones a 52-48 - 100, Abby McKenna a 53-48 - 101 and Christa Moritz, a 56-53 - 109.
Estherville-LC's Rica Soper was the medalist with an 82. The other All-Lakes honorees were Jess Honecke of Cherokee (84), Megan Parrish of Spencer (87), Katie Sponder of LeMars (87), Abby Doorn of Spencer (89), Andrea Ohrtman of Emmetsburg (94), Ally Sarchet of Cherokee (94), Brashears (95) and Roxy Headling of Emmetsburg (95).
