Police are asking for the public's help as they search for a sexual abuse suspect who has apparently left the Storm Lake area following the alleged assault of a 14-year-old girl at a party last October.
Storm Lake Police were first told of the incident on April 1. The girl's mother reported that her daughter was sexually assaulted by two or more men during a party at a residence at 603A West 8th Street on October 29, 2004.
The victim told police she hesitated in reporting the incident because she was embarrassed. Police then launched an investigation, and have collected information and statements in connection with the incident.
Wednesday, officers arrested Andres Guillen, 25, of Storm Lake and charged him with Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree.
He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $32,500 cash bond for the felony charge.
Storm Lake Police have further issued an arrest warrant charging Dagoberto "Ivan" Reyes, age 18 of Storm Lake, with Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree (class B felony).
Reyes has apparently left the area and is being sought by the Storm Lake Police Department. Reyes is described as a Hispanic male, 5'8" tall, 145 lbs., brown eyes and black hair.
The investigation continues and more arrests are possible.
