A gardening seminar, "Step Into Spring", was held Saturday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to Noon at Sioux Central School Building, south of Sioux Rapids on Hwy. 71. Registration will take place at 8 a.m. with rolls and coffee being served. Exhibits, visual displays, and classes will be offered throughout the day.
There will be eight classes to choose from throughout the day. They are as follows:
8:30 a.m. Hostas and Daylilies by Ferguson's, Herbs by Richard Hasley and Karen Fletcher, Master Gardeners
9:30 a.m. Hostas and Daylilies by Ferguson's, Butterfly Gardening by Marian McNabb, Master Gardener
10:30 a.m. Dahlias by James Romer, Iowa Master Gardener, ISU, Herbs by Richard Hasley and Karen Fletcher, Master Gardeners
11:30 a.m. Growing Dahlias by James Romer, Iowa Master Gardener Coordinator, ISU, Annuals and Perennials by Marian McNabb, Master Gardener
This event is being sponsored by the Buena Vista Master Garden Club and the Little Sioux Federated Garden Club. Cost is $10 per person. Door prizes will be given.
