Mr. and Mrs. Brad Gibbins

Jorja Buchholz and Brad Gibbins were united in marriage on July 24, 2004, in a 4:30 p.m. ceremony at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Storm Lake. Rev. Thomas Egger was the officiant. Parents of the couple are Ronnie and Janet Buchholz of Newell and Marion and Sue Gibbins of Storm Lake.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a spaghetti-strapped A-line gown by Demetrios with a sequin pattern embellishing the bodice, straps, and detachable train. The back of the dress featured the same sequin pattern, with buttons halfway down the back. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses, stephanotis, and baby's breath. Her jewelry consisted of a pearl necklace and earrings, a gift given to her by the groom.

Nancy Buchholz of West Des Moines, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tara Malcom, Greenfield, Jennifer Gutz, Sioux City, both friends of the bride, and Stephanie Gibbins, Monroe, IN, sister-in-law of the groom. They wore red spaghetti-strapped dresses. Personal attendants were Angie Kutz, Storm Lake, Tiffany Hogrefe, Boston, MA, both friend of the bride.

Scott Gibbons of Monroe, IN, served his brother as the best man. Groomsmen were Travis Piercy, Schaller, Steve Lange, Storm Lake, and Chad Copp, Storm Lake, all friends of the groom. They wore black tuxedos with silver vests and ties. Ring bearer was Daniel Sippel, Lombard, IL, cousin of the groom. His attired matched the groom of a black tuxedo with a white vest and black tie. Ushers were Andrew McIlroy, Washington, D.C., cousin of the bride, Jim Stein, Sioux City, friend of the groom, and Adam and Tyler Gibbins, both of Storm Lake and brothers of the groom. They wore black tuxedos with red vests and ties.

Stacey DeBoer, cousin of the groom of Jefferson, SD and Tom Lichter, friend of the bride, of Storm Lake were the soloists. They sang "He Has Chosen You For Me", "Parents Prayer", "This is the Day", and "The Wedding Song". Ron Demers, uncle of the groom from Sioux City was the organist. Jennifer Hyson, Colorado Springs, CO, and Stephanie Leonard, Chicago, IL, both cousins of the groom were the guest book attendants. Candlelighters were Dawn Tamboli, cousin of the bride from St. Louis, MO, and Steve Demers, uncle of the groom from Omaha, NE. Readers were Sig Buchholz, Osage Beach, MO, uncle of the bride, and Mike Gibbins, Olate, KS, uncle of the groom.

After the ceremony the couple was greeted by their guests who were blowing noisemakers, and the wedding party boarded the Exel bus for the reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Storm Lake. Reception hosts and hostesses were Dennis and Tania Gutz, Newell, friends of the bride, and Whitey and Dianne Leonard, Storm Lake, uncle and aunt of the groom. A delicious meal was served by Central Catering of Hawarden. Musical entertainment was provided by Mr. Tunes Mobile Music of Sioux City.

After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple is at home near Peterson.
