Plans are taking shape for the third annual Linn Grove River Jamboree, June 18.
New for this year's Jamboree will be a Spontaneous Sioux Valley All-School Reunion.
A Taste of Iowa exhibit will feature food entrepreneurs, and a barbecue is planned as well as plenty of musical performers.
A raffle will give away a two-day stay at The Inn at Okoboji. A display of antique cars and tractors will be featured.
The Best Little Art Show by a Dam Site will feature local artisans showing and selling their work in a tent-lined area around the Linn Grove Landing, including pottery, rustic wooden furnishings, jewelry and stained glass.
Jam'men at the Dam will feature area musical acts, and the Center Stage downtown will also have a full schedule of acoustic musicians/vocalists.
The parade and patriotic salute will return, and children's activities are being planned. Canoe and kayak excursions and a fishing contest will be held at the Little Sioux River.
Funds raised will go toward Linn Grove public projects, including the Restaurant Building Fund.
Artists and musicians who are interested in taking part may contact Beth Cathcart at 296-3790 or 299-5248.
